The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently viewing the Fernie 2 Local community Hall in Mpuluzi to render companies into the community.

SASSA will be rendering providers for example new social grant applications, change of payment method, consumer treatment enquiries, in addition to the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In an announcement, the agency explained it is alarmed with regards to the superior range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The purpose of the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to a high range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is due to the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no fully functional office dedicated to service the area every day. The services level produced for intervention experiences a higher inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it tricky with the Workplace to attend to all people who stop by a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise a lot more methods SRD to allow the servicing of all customers and raise access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
